This Store Trusts ANYBODY (2007-12-05)
With my lastest shopping for the kitchen, the new items tend to crowd the small kitchen a bit, thus I need to create some room to ease the crowdedness.I found a mini shelf that fits perfectly in the bay window above the
sink on rakuten which will double the space there for me to store
things. We've been doing online shopping for so long and so often
that it only occurred to me to check the bank transfer availability as
payment option (KL doesn't like to pay by credit card) and shipping
cost. Both checked out alright, so I placed the order.
Usually we'll get an e-mail from the company the following day
confirming the order and we'd pay the money and they'd send us the
item(s) afterwards.
The day after I placed the order, the store Netvalley sent us an
e-mail asking us to please wire them money AFTER we receive the
goods! I got on their web site and re-read their payment details
and found out it is their
policy to send out merchandise, then
ask for money. Is this company for real?! With the number
of crooks and dishonest jerks out there, how much business do they lose
every year by people not paying up? I sorta half expected that
e-mail to be an error and certainly didn't hold my breath for the shelf
before we paid.
But on the third day, another e-mail arrived informing us the shelf
was on its way. And sure enough, we got it on the fourth
day. This is quite unbelievable. How can a company trusts
their internet customers so whole-heartedly/blindly? I thought
I'd seen enough "trusting" Japanese practices already, but this one
blows my mind.
