Scratching Post And Furminator (2009-09-13)
Daifoo was such a great cat that we never had to spend money on any scratching device for him. He would happily scratch on the door mat and be done with it. All the posters and paper I bluetac-ed on the wall was just a precauction in case he scratched the wall, but he manifested no such undesirable behavior either.Efoo is a whole different story. This kitten is
scratch-crazy! He would scratch anything and everything he sees
despite me constantly trimming his nails, nothing escapes him. He
would even scratch the wall when he's on the dining table or in the
toilet or any door frame. (\_/)!
I quickly ordered up a scratching post for his growing nails and
fortunately he's taken to it like a pro! The SECOND I placed the
post in its spot he jumped right to action. He knew instantly
what to do with it and scratched like there's no tomorrow. I
think the couple of posts in the room in his foster house had taught
him well what to do with it.
Meanwhile I also ordered a Furminator (which was on sale) for this long-haired guy. I can't use it yet before he turns 6 months but I did try one tiny brush on him and the undercoat it pulled out was quite impressive. Hope it's a product well worth its cost.
