Clay Pot Rice, Dessert (2010-01-22)
At our request, Raymond and Catherine brought us to Shin Tsui Wah to have their charcoal clay pot rice. We ordered two to share and a couple of vegetable dishes. The rice did have a charcoal flavor and neither too soft nor undercooked, I liked it. Raymond heard I love Chinese broccoli and ordered a stirfried Chinese broccoli with ginger even though it's not on the menu, what a nice guy! He also insisted on treating us too, thank you very much for a yummy meal! After dinner, it's dessert time again! Raymond also learned
that I
love anything chocolate as dessert during a conversation at lunch and
took us to a fairly new cafe, Caffe Kenon, which serves cakes and
stuff (Italian style). We each ordered our drinks at regular
price and the sweets
for
a discount. I don't know about their Amaretto Cheesecake, but my
dark
chocolate tart was sooooo yummy. The server even offered to warm
it up
for us which made each bite like eating melted intense dark chocolate.
We spent a good long time chatting (Catherine is a lovely
conversationist) before Raymond got up to the restroom and came back
with the server having the check ready for him! He's snuck up to
treat
us dessert too, thanks so much!
Then we all headed our seperate ways: KL and Raymond to have drinks
with friends, I back to the hotel, and Catherine home. Great
meals the
whole day today :)
