Cyclo Cafe (2009-12-21)
The several side streets off Tran Phu (the main road) to the west of Ana Mandara make up the "tourist area" where a number of restaurants are located. We had most of our meals there and I did choose those that have positive reviews although they were nothing to rave about in general. Can you imagine those with bad reviews?Although that area is just a 15-minute walk from the hotel, it's
pointless to walk under the humid and hot weather. Taxi is
plentiful and cheap, and most of them will honk or make eye contact to
ask you if you want a
ride, we never had to wait for more than a minute for one. Taxi
fare starts at 10,000 VND/US 50 cents, and it doesn't take more than
20,000 VND between our hotel and the restaurant streets.
Oh, but I digress. Cyclo Cafe's food is not over-the-top
great, but it is cheap and cheerful. KL just loved their Vietnam
coffee which is very strong.
