Long Day Shopping (2004-11-16)
Last week KL and I went Christmas shopping for my American parents. It is hard to shop for someone who seemingly has everything. I don't know if they like the presents we bought them that day, but I certainly had a fun day out all day EATING. The first thing we did before we went to any stores was to eat lunch. We went back to that Chinese restaurant in Kichijoji () and the food was yummy. As soon as we finished lunch, KL suggested cake which I couldn't handle at that moment because I was so full. We shopped for a little while and wanted afternoon tea. We went to Olive House in Department Store where I had Japanese dessert and KL had crepe with baked apple. After the tea set, we hopped on a train to Shinjuku's () Tokyu Hands
next to Takashimaya () Department Store to continue with our
shopping. I found some gorgeous daffodil bulbs there and we
bought two packets with three bulbs each. Together with some
tulips and freesia I planted earlier, we should have a colorful spring
garden next year.
After we finally bought all the presents, it's time for yet another
meal! KL took me to the restaurant where he had dinner with a
group of friends just recently. The food was beautifully
presented and delicious. I'll talk more on that resaurant later
when I have the pictures ready.
Christmas shopping may make KL's wallet thinner but it makes ME fatter!
