Paper Craft Gift (2005-01-15)
Our nextdoor neighbor gives us a little something almost every New Year. This time they gave us a kind of Japanese paper craft to "play with during the New Year holidays" as the husband put it. I opened the packet and the first thing I saw was complicated instruction in Japanese. Although the name on the packet says "Gadget Box", the craft doesn't teach you how to make gadgets or a box. There are thirty or so tissue thin paper inside the packet which I'm supposed to cut into intricate shapes, I think. The craft looks like it will take me much longer than just the New Year holidays to do. I will start this craft when I can figure out the instruction and the purpose of the game.
