Renegade Garbage Throwers (2005-03-13)
The garbage collection rules are strictly followed by locals here. But I guess like every society, there are always those annoyingly selfish dimwits who break rules. I happened to come across not one, but two cases of red-tagged garbage on a single day. You usually don't see "bad" garbage for months or even years, and to see two in one day is rare. The first piece of incorrectly discarded garbage was a small chest
of drawers where the owner failed to buy a special sticker to put on it
before dumping it. The second one was a bag containing cans and
pet bottles which should have been separated to be recycled. As a
result the garbage collectors refused to take them.
Many people might think such incidents are trivial, but rules are
rules; if nobody follows them, we will be living in a chaotic
society. Those who say laws are meant to be broken are idiots.
