The Omnipresent Cartoon Characters (2005-08-28)
With Japanese people's love of comics and animated movies etc, it's always easy to spot cartoon characters integrated in the aspects of daily living. What I mean is you often find cartoon characters being used in commercials, public posters, advertisement and so forth.
I was cleaning out our messy desk drawers the other day and found an
old notice from the power company. There it was, a cartoon man on
both sides of the leaflet. It's a little funny to see a cartoon
figure on a semi-official document, but I like it. I like it a
lot.
