Good Wealth And Good Luck (2006-02-08)
KL bought several chocolate coins and ingots from Aji Ichiban in Hong Kong. They are just plain old milk chocolate but shaped as gold coins and ingots which were supposedly used by Chinese for currency hundreds of years ago.
Gold chocolate coins are particularly popular sweets in most
household in Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year. They
symbolize wealth and riches, something Hong Kong people work their butt
off everyday to attain.
If only all the terrorists and religious fanatics could devote
their energy and resolve in making good honest money like most Hong Kong
people instead of blowing themselves and others up for a cause that no
such destructive behavior will ever achieve anyway, this world would be
a much better place for everybody. In that Utopian world, we can
then all eat our chocolate coins in PEACE.
