A Failed Attempt At Dehydrating Vegetables (2008-09-19)
A drying net I got from a 100-Yen shop (dollar shop)
Experiment includes pumpkin, tomatoes, garlic and I added shiitake mushrooms later
I hung it right in front of the air-conditioner so air is blown to the veggies to help dry them
After a week and not looking good
Carrots shriveled but never dried out
Pumpkin's the same. Only tomatoes are salvageable
The garlic never dried to the crispy state even after a week, very disappointing
Shiitake suffer the same fate
They rehydrated successfully though
"Please KL, we need a food dehydrator."
