Day Trip 3-- Lunch, Shopping (2009-07-29)

A short 10-minute ride brought us to the lunch location

On the second floor is the lunch place

Some deer thing outside the restaurant

Large hall

Scenery from the restaurant

My plate

Only two kinds of spaghetti to choose from

The beef was tough as leather, but the asparagus and zucchini tempura were crispy and hot

After lunch we went to the gift shop downstairs which has quite a large variety of stuff including local specialty fresh soba

and fresh udon

and fresh handcut thick noodles

Jam is a must in local produce stores

Jelly which uses cherries from Yamanashi Prefecture

Some other cherry sweets

I tried both of these shiitake tea and pickled plum chili tea, not my "cup of tea"
