Eerie Christon Cafe (2004-11-22)

Christon Café is on the eighth floor of this building where I also go yumcha at the restaurant four floors down

An advertisement on the ground floor of the building says: "The restaurant that happens once in a century. Christon Café"

A Jesus statue embedded in the wall of the hallway

Another Jesus statue on the crucifix

Naked cherubs adorn the walls in ladies restroom

Looks like the arms of these chairs are deliberately slashed to create the aged look

One of several hugh gaudy chandeliers with crosses hang from the ceiling

One wall of the restaurant decorated like the catholic church

Burning candles in the very dark restaurant (my camera flash makes this corner look bright) adds mysteriousness to the atmosphere

Christon Café chopsticks

The drink menu resembles a coffin

Mushrooms and mozzarella cheese calzone topped with prosciutto and rocket leaves

Fideua (Paella with noodles instead of rice)

Foccacia with rosemary (But looks and tastes nothing like the foccacia I had in mind)

Delicious deep-fried prawns
