Hong Kong Cemetery (2006-01-27)

A dome-shape cemetery

The bottom tier goes all the way to the sidewalk, even right to a bus stop. Can you imagine stepping off a bus and come face to face with a headstone on which a black and white photo of the deceased stares at you? Kinda spooky

Burial grounds and headstones are packed tightly and in tiers--vertical development-- to get the most out of a small space, just like how the living lives in Hong Kong

This part of the cemetery looks brand new

A lone flower shop near the cemetery

The first time I saw roses with a net covering for their petals

These petit bouquets are for burial vaults. Note the recepticle used for holding them: it is a pen holder often found in stationery shops' pen section (the names of the different brands of pens are still on the case) . Perfect recycle idea for the job here

Rows upon rows of stone vaults
