Nenrinya Baumkuchen (2010-08-03)
It's been literally years since I bought Baumkuchen for KL. I decided to try the shop which is red-hot right now selling such cake.
The line in the Ginza (
) store was bearable when we got there, but
before our turn, it'd grown significantly longer. KL wasn't
interested in the plain ones, so I got him a chocolate Baumkuchen which
is only sold in their Ginza branch.
Unfortunately KL wasn't wowed by the cake. It was dense and
very buttery ( I took a bite) and not terribly chocolatey. The
"icing" on top was nicely crunchy though.
