Fuji Apples From Aomori (2009-03-11)
Picked up a bag of Fuji apples from Aomori Prefecture that's on sale at the local supermarket. These big, sweet yet tart, and crunchy forbidden fruit are said to have been covered by snow while growing on the trees (Aomori is in northern Japan which snows in winter) which in turn makes them tastier.
395Yen/US$4.3 for five very large Fuji apples, they're tasty enough.
