Ichiran Ramen (2010-08-04)

When I took KL to Ichiran ramen shop, he had that contemptible look on the way there.  We knew of Ichiran's "cubicle" seats and he thought the shop sells more gimmick than good chow.

Although you never see the face of the people behind the curtain of your seat, they are still very courteous and nice.  After you are seated and hand the questionnaire (for noodle preference) to the server, he'll repeat your response aloud and bow before he leaves.  When he returns with your noodles, he'll bow again and close the curtain to leave you eat in private.

KL's reaction after the first sip of the soup was, "Ahhh, yummy!".  I had my share of ramen in Japan, and Ichiran by far makes just about the most delicious soup I've had.  The simple questionnaire I filled out means my bowl of noodles was cooked according to my taste, a system I like a lot.

Why we didn't go sooner beats me.

P.S. Most of their branches are open 24 hours!
