Cat-loving Dentist (2011-01-16)
I needed some dental work done so I picked a random dental clicnic closest to our apartment to face my worst fear in life: the dentist's chair. But that's not what I wanted to write about in this post, I really wanted to say how crazy my dentist is toward cats.
Stepping into the clinic, I had to look back and double-check the
sign on the door to make sure I hadn't made a mistake and gone into a
cat clinic! There are cat photos and memorabilia all over the
place: on the walls, at the reception desk and in the large communal
type operation room. Even the ring tone of the phone is a cat's
meow!!
In this feline sensory-overloading situation, you can't help but ask
the doctor "Are you nuts?". Of course I put the question more
gently by saying "You must love cats, doctor?". To which he
proudly declares and proceeds to tell me about his cat.
After telling him we have a cat too, he invited me to bring its
photo in so he could put it on the wall to join the rest of the
clients' cat pictures. I brought two pictures of Efoo and since
the doctor liked them so much he took both. Now Efoo becomes a
fixture in this crazy dentist's clinic.
