Wah Tse Beef Stew, Jing Jing Dessert (2011-01-30)
An excited but exhausted C returned and regaled me with her adventure in Macau. I'm so happy she had a great time there. For dinner, we went to yet another famous noodle shop Wah Tse which
has great review by many including well-known food critic Choi
Lan. Wah Tse sports quite a busy menu but their specialty is
Chinese style beef stew and that's what we both ordered.
The beef was very flavorful indeed but since it's so lean, it's a
bit tough. I overheard another customer order a fatty cut of beef
and I think that's the way to go. Next time, man. Next time.
:)
Further down the street from Wah Tse is Jing Jing where KL and I had
some excellent sticky rice balls dessert before, so I urged C to try
them herself. But she ordered something else and didn't like it
said it tasted off. My rice balls were as good as remembered.
