i Square, Hing Fat, TST East (2011-02-03)
Leaving Wong Tai Sin, we returned to Tsim Sha Tsui and browsed in the plethora of shops there including the new i Square (mall). The mall is full of high-end shops which isn't C's cup of tea and neither is mine.Dinner time rolled around and after checking out the many
restaurants in the area, we decided to eat at Hing Fat since C had
never had suckling pig before and KL and I had such good one there last
year.
We absolutely loved the suckling pig and the stirfried rice noodles
but the salt & pepper prawns were just so-so.
Then we returned to the hotel to unload our things and walked to
nearby Tsim Sha Tsui East to check out the lights and street food
stalls.
Interesting thing happened in TST East: Since we left most of our
cash in the
hotel, and after shopping in a supermarket and getting a drink for C,
we ended up just 20 cents shy of the $10-an-order egg balls. But
I really really wanted to eat them, so I made a plea to the staff if
she
might not want to sell the egg
balls to me for $9.8 minus a few balls. She burst into laughters
and accepted my offer but
insisted
I keep all the egg balls. She even gave me the batch that just
came off the grill instead of the ones sitting in the shelf, awwww,
bless her heart!
