Gambling (2013-05-01)
An activity my parents and I engaged in frequently was gambling!
To help dad's post-op recovery, his physical therapist
recommended mahjong. So my parents and I played this wonderful
game everyday!
Another pastime was playing the slot machines. Dad went to the
TAB (a horse and dog races betting place) almost daily and on top of
that, he went to various clubs with us to play the slots.
We went to Club Central in Hurstville a lot, went to Guildford Club
with friends once and spent my last day in Sydney at Star Casino with
mom and dad.
Mom is extremely lucky at the slots and ended up winning heaps more
than she lost. Dad is not as lucky but he wins big many times
too. I, of course, am the amateur and lost overall (not a lot
though).
I enjoyed playing mahjong and the slots with my parents so much,
gambling is definitely in our genes!
