Face Slimming Gadgets (2005-01-20)
To me, most Japanese women are slim and trim, but many of them will tell you they are fat. A recent survey of Japanese women showed a great number of them were not satisfied with their bodies and had been or would like to be on a diet. With so many women wanting to loose weight, diet products such as medicine and fitness equipment are all over the market. I was browsing in a store the other day and saw some amazing "slimming apparatus".
The entire line of merchandise is for slimming the FACE. They
are plastic things one wears inside the mouth which manufacturers tout
can reduce the size of cheeks. Some apparatus will even prevent
snoring and bad breath! Women who fall for this kind of rubbish
don't have a problem with their cheeks, it's their heads that need the
workout.
