Hatsuhashi Sweets (2005-05-04)
Although I don't know where Hatsuhashi is in Japan, a traditional sweet snack from the area is quite famous. This snack is triangular in shape with a chewy outside made of sticky rice and sweet bean paste as the filling. Cinnamon is also used in its seasoning and the aroma of it is unmistakably strong. We bought a pack the other day. KL obviously likes this treat
because he ate most of the pack. I don't quite care for the odd
combination of cinnamon and red bean paste. "East Meets West"
doesn't always work, sometimes the result is disastrous.
