Fish & Co Seafood In A Pan (2007-02-23)
KL's brother treated us and his sister's family to dinner at Fish & Co., a restaurant handpicked by his 10-year-old niece. The restaurant's interior has a strong theme park feel with marine creatures decorations and fish-shape hot plates on the tables. The number one feature of the restaurant is probably its use of pans to serve all their food, a bit of a gimmick to me though. We ordered two appetizers and three entrees to share amongst
us. The food was passable, not outstanding but it's expensive by
local standard. I forgot to jot down the prices of every dish,
but I remember the Seafood Platter For Two was HK$166/US$21. It
didn't have a lot of seafood in it with half of the pan occupied by
fries and some rice pilaf. For the price of that platter, you
could get
a set meal for two or a three-course dinner at very good restaurants.
Since it was a meal mainly for the niece and she seemed to love her
choice of restaurant and its food, the dinner could be considered a
success.
