A Good Perk For KL (2007-08-29)
There are good things and bad things working for a large company. One of the advantages in doing so is the ability to use different kinds of personal services provided for the employees. KL's company does not have free car pool or free gym etc like Google do for their workers, but it does have agents whose job is to take care of its foreign employees' Visa renewal.
When KL's Working Visa expired in June and my Dependent Visa in
July, all we had to do was sign a proxy form (and some personal
details). An agent was sent to collect our passports at KL's desk
and he took care of the rest. We saved the hassle of going all
the way to the Immigration Department, waiting in line forever, picking
up the passports later and best of all, paying for the fees!
