Yuzu, Japanese Mandarins (2005-01-17)
I read on New York Times' dining section that Japanese mandarins, known as yuzu, are fast becoming chefs' beloved citrus. Yuzu is like a cross between a lemon and a grapefruit. These wrinkly-skin fruits are much more expensive than lemons and their juice is a key ingredient in giving salad dressing that special fresh tangy yuzu taste. I just thought I would show you what they look like in today's pictures if you have not seen them before.Back to top
